How Heirwell Came to Be
Heirwell was founded in Surat Thani in 2019 by a small team who had each, separately, lived through the experience of a family elder passing away without clear records in place. The paperwork was not the hardest part. What felt harder was not knowing what the person had intended, what mattered to them, or where to begin making sense of a life's worth of documents.
From that shared understanding, the idea for Heirwell took shape — a calm, unhurried service that helps families gather and organise their important records while there is still time to do it together. Not a law firm. Not a financial adviser. Something quieter and, in many ways, more personal.
Today, we work with families across southern Thailand, offering organisational sessions, facilitated family conversations, and a comprehensive archive programme for those who want a thorough and lasting record. In every engagement, we are clear about our boundaries: we do not provide legal, financial, or medical advice, and we always recommend involving qualified professionals where those matters arise.
What we do offer is a thoughtful process, careful listening, and a respectful space for families to begin conversations that might otherwise feel too large or too uncertain to start.

Founder & Lead Facilitator
Nantawan has over fifteen years in family mediation and document management. She established Heirwell after seeing how many families struggled with scattered records during already difficult moments.
Somchai Trakul
Archive Programme Coordinator
Somchai brings a background in archival studies and has helped more than 120 families build and maintain their Family Archive. He is known for his patience and methodical approach.
Kanokwan Wattana
Client Liaison & Records Specialist
Kanokwan handles initial enquiries and supports families through the orientation process. She trained in information management and speaks Thai, English, and Mandarin.

We do not give legal, financial, or medical advice. Our role is organisational and facilitative. Where specialists are needed, we help you find them.

Every piece of information shared with us is treated with complete discretion. We do not share family records with any third party without your explicit instruction.
Family-Centred Process
We work around the family's needs and pace, not ours. Sessions are scheduled to suit you, and we never rush the process.
Secure Document Handling
Physical and digital materials are handled according to documented protocols. Copies made during archive sessions are stored securely and returned or destroyed at your request.

We clearly define what each programme includes before work begins. There are no unexpected add-ons, no pressure to extend, and no ambiguity about what we do or do not provide.

Family Records Are a Form of Care
Most families in Thailand and across Southeast Asia accumulate a significant collection of documents, photographs, and personal items over the course of decades. Land certificates, insurance policies, handwritten wishes, medical history summaries, photographs from three generations — these things hold meaning that goes well beyond their administrative value.
Yet few families have a clear place to keep them, a shared understanding of where things are, or an agreed approach to what should happen when someone can no longer manage these records themselves. That gap is what Heirwell addresses.
Our work is strictly organisational and educational. We help families understand what records they have, how to structure and preserve them, and how to begin the kind of conversations that allow intentions to be noted and understood — without any document we produce having binding legal effect. For anything that requires a professional licence, we will always recommend appropriate specialists.
This distinction matters to us. A family that has organised its records and talked openly about its wishes is in a far stronger position to engage with lawyers, financial advisers, or other professionals when the time comes. Our role is to make that preparation feel manageable and even, at times, meaningful.
